Stratasys Asia Pacific - a subsidiary of 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions company Stratasys Ltd. - has established its MakerBot Innovation Centre at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

The centre is a large-scale 3D printing installation - with large clusters of MakerBot 3D printers - designed to help students, faculty and staff members learn about 3D printing, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

"We are excited to see the first MakerBot Innovation Centre in Asia at PolyU, offering their students an advantage in the job market after graduation. Reports indicate that learning from trials, working collaboratively across disciplines and managing a product from concept to a physical product are skills that employers are looking for.  We look forward to seeing the new ideas that the access to 3D printing in PolyU inspires," said Shiry Saar, General Manager of MakerBot APJ.
